![]() If you have done those, then you might want to try a few cables- apparently it’s sensitive to which cable you use. Without those, the updates won’t be able to find the camera. ![]() There is a driver to install first, I believe, and you have to change a setting to allow the updater to talk to the hardware (I think it’s a good idea to change it back afterwards). The process is a bit complicated but the A1 firmware came with detailed instructions - don’t know if yours did. I've carefully done all the steps, but when I connect the camera to my MacBook M1 Silicon and click next, the Firmware updater for Sony A7IV looks but then says "Could not find the camera for this update."
